The ozone layer acts like sunscreen for the earth. It keeps the sun’s UV radiation from frying the planet. But for a time, this lifesaving layer of gas 20 miles up in the atmosphere started to thin. And humans were to blame. Fortunately, science and the world rose to the occasion and did something about it.
