What is the case for mass surveillance? Is Congress about to renew it?

Are you a fan of mass surveillance and the protections that it gives to national security? Do you fear, as many Americans do, that it is subject to abuse? Remember how the Obama administration leaked all those names of Americans and Trump supporters and supposed Russian connections? 

The FISA Court was created to allow mass surveillance and keep things under control. All that is up for renewal by the end of the year. Does it need some improving? Yes, it does. Here is a quick look at what Congress is up against the clock about.
