Ugandan runner Joshua Cheptegei set a new world record at the 10k road race in Valencia. The 23-year-old finished with a time of 26 minutes and 38 seconds, beating the old time by six seconds. The annual Teddy Bear Toss in the AHL saw the Hershey Bears set a new world record with 45,650 stuffed animals thrown onto the ice. Bears are thrown on the ice after the first goal of the game and are donated to local charities. Hershey smashed their own record by over 10,000 bears. In the A-League, Sydney FC shutout Western United 2-0 to claim top spot in the standings behind Adam Le Fondre’s brace. RT America’s Steve Christakos reports.
