U.S. citizens are no longer urged to shelter in place in Mexico, and the U.S. Embassy and all consulates in Mexico are operating normally as of Feb. 25.
Still, travel experts are advising those with upcoming trips to Mexico to check their travel insurance policies and airline carriers about possible travel waivers if you do not feel comfortable traveling.
