Trump will need to see “movement in the right direction” from the Cuban regime in regards to the rights of the Cuban people, Priebus said Sunday. But Trump, throughout his presidential campaign, has threatened to repeal Obama’s newfound diplomatic relations with Cuba, should he win the White House, citing the need for better deals.
President-elect Donald Trump is “absolutely” willing to reverse President Barack Obama’s diplomatic relationship with Cuba, according to Trump chief of staff Reince Priebus.
If Cuba wants to maintain the positive diplomatic relationship with the U.S. established by Obama in recent years, then Trump will need to see “movement in the right direction” from the Cuban regime in regards to the rights of the Cuban people, Priebus said Sunday on “Fox News Sunday.”
