50 people were gunned down in a Florida gay club with 53 more people seriously injured on early Sunday. The shooter is Omar S. Mateen, a legal Florida resident, but may have had ties with ISIS. Although this is too early to call, authorities are speculating that this may have been a terrorist attack and Islamic State leaders have called for blood during Ramadan. This was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history and if terrorism the worst such attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.
