O’Connor asked if the deputy’s camera was on, and then immediately identified herself and asked to be let go. She later handed the deputy her business card, saying: “If you ever need anything, call me. Serious.” O’Connor informed Tampa Mayor Jane Castor of the incident later in the month, and after being put on administrative leave, O’Connor resigned by December 5.
