Slain Dallas Cop Loved His Family, Sports, America, And His Job

One of the five slain officers in Dallas was a young hero named, Patrick Zamarripa.

He was a Mexican-American who served three tours of duty in Iraq only to die of ambush in Texas.

In his short bio on Twitter account he describes himself this way:

Addicted to the thrill of this job. I own the night. I love my Country, Texas, Family, God, Friends, and Sports! Don’t Tread on Me! ‘Merica

His last tweet on the account went out to all of America on July 4th.

Happy Birthday to the greatest country on the face of this planet. My beloved America!

According to the New York Daily News:

Maria Zamarripa, glued to the TV coverage of the murderous mayhem in Dallas, frantically texted her stepson: “Can u please let us know if you are OK?”
