Contestants from all over flocked to Sydney to compete for top honor in the wacky flying event as builders and designers attempted to pilot their homemade creations off a 20 foot high platform overlooking Sydney Harbor. Team “Chip off the Old Block” won top prize in the event. In soccer news, the MLS announced Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Newcomer of the Year, narrowly beating DC United’s Wayne Rooney for the award.
