Trump said he was in favor of taking guns away from the so-called mentally ill via civil asset forfeiture and deal with due process later. Excuse me? I’m all for discussing preventing mass shootings, but this is an extreme hard left turn and not what we voted for.
From President Trump: “I like taking the guns early … Take the guns first, go through due process second.” The NRA had a lot to say about what can only be seen as a betrayal of Second Amendment rights, no matter what Trump says about supporting them after saying that. I’m speechless. Talk about damage control.
