On Monday, the same group that organized the day without immigrants rally that fizzled because no one noticed they weren’t working is at it again. They are trying to organize huge rallies on Monday May 1st, which is International Workers Day. They are planning demonstrations at the National Mall and cities all across America. Who besides me thinks it would be great if ICE were to park a number of detention buses along the protest routes along with dozens of officers? That might dampen the festivities a bit.
The same organizers tried this approach in February and it was a monumental failure. Most businesses were unaffected and those who were fired the employees who refused to show up for work. This time they are trying to lure other groups to protest with them in hopes someone…
