Up and down the East Coast on Monday, Jewish community centers and other institutions were locked down as bomb threats poured in.
In recent days, a strong wave of anti-semitic behavior has gripped the nation, and particularly the Eastern U.S., as Jewish cemeteries were vandalized and everyday life was interrupted by these serious and worrisome threats. Now, the country is left looking for answers.
“Jewish Community Centers and day schools in at least a dozen states received threats, according to the JCC Association of North America. No bombs were found. All 20 buildings — 13 community centers and seven schools — were cleared by Monday afternoon and had resumed normal operations, the association said.
