On April 17, in Webb County, authorities chased a human smuggler, and 7 other illegal immigrants, to the Rio Grande River, with two illegals managing to swim back to Mexico, while the human smuggler himself almost drowned and had to be rescued by Texas DPS troopers. Six illegal immigrants, including the smuggler, were detained.
