The 36-year-old freshman Democrat state legislator ran her BMW into a tree in Lakewood late Monday night, attracting the attention of police, who noted a strong alcohol aroma, bleary eyes and a tape loop of assertions to the effect that she loved them, would fight for them, and had no intention of submitting to field sobriety testing.
