Doctor to Perform Head Transplant This Year in China

Italian neurosurgeon Sergio Canavero says he is prepared to perform the very first head transplant later this year in China.  He has already found a volunteer  a Russian man, suffering from a spinal muscular atrophy malady called Werdnig-Hoffmann Disease.  After that Canavero says he will then attempt a brain transplant from a cryogenically frozen brain, which would then be transferred into a donor body.  It will be the first time a patient got head during an operation.

 The plans, completely disconnected from reality and the state of modern medicine, are at least in line with his previous outlandish goals and dubious animal research.
