A 17-year veteran police officer in Chicago was brutally beaten by a man. The officer claimed she was afraid to use her gun in defense because of the nationwide backlash. The man beat two other officers before they were able to bring him down with a Tazer and pepper spray. The three injured officers have now been hospitalized.
Yesterday a 17-year Chicago Police veteran was badly beaten while attending the scene of an accident. Eddie Johnson, the Chicago PD’s superintendent, said that the officer told him that she did not use her gun to defend herself out of fear of backlash. Johnson said, “She didn’t want her family or the department to go through the scrutiny the next day on national news.”
