American Flag Outlawed By Principle To Not Offend “Large Hispanic Community”

The principle of Travelers Rest High School in South Carolina banned the American flag from football games because the opposing high school “has a large Hispanic community.” He sighted safety reason for doing so and stated that he didn’t want the flag being used as a taunt.  He barred several students from attending the game with flags.  On Monday, amid community backlash, he reversed his decision.

Evidently, Principal Lou Lavely thought that the Hispanic community would take the symbol of the American flag as a taunt that would stir up unneeded tension.
