OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Tennessee teacher suspected of kidnapping his 15-year-old student earlier this month has been spotted in Oklahoma City with the teen, authorities said.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has confirmed a sighting of 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas along with the 50-year-old man believed to have kidnapped her earlier this month.
Late Thursday, after receiving information from a tip, investigators obtained surveillance images from a Walmart in Oklahoma City from the afternoon of March 15th, showing Tad Cummins and Thomas shopping at the store.
Cummins is a white male, who stands 6 feet tall, weighs approximately 200 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.
Officials said Cummins used cash to purchase various food items, but did not purchase anything else of significance.
