What a day!
The masterful media-tamer Donald Trump had his way with the media on Friday duping the major outlets into spending about an hour and a half giving him free media coverage. In an interview on Thursday evening Mr. Trump was asked about his previous support for the “birther” movement. At the time he gave a bit of a cryptic response, saying that he’d have to respond to that at a later date, but it ended up being just a few hours later when his campaign released the following statement.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign first raised this issue to smear then-candidate Barack Obama in her very nasty, failed 2008 campaign for President. This type of vicious and conniving behavior is straight from the Clinton Playbook. As usual, however, Hillary Clinton was too weak to get an answer.
