Dallas Morning News Breaks 75 Year Tradition to Endorse Hillary

The Dallas Morning News just did something it hasn’t done since before World War II: It endorsed a Democrat for president! In a Tuesday editorial, the DMN editorial board recommended Hillary Clinton for the nation’s highest office, citing her

“… experience in actual governance, a record of service and a willingness to delve into real policy.”

The endorsement is a shocking departure for Dallas’ only surviving daily newspaper, once known for its great sports, business and comic sections. Indeed, for the past 75 years, and the last 20 elections, the conservative-leaning DMN has always endorsed a Republican for president. The last Democrat it endorsed was FDR!

The move caught many people off guard, including Seton Motley, president of Less Government, a DC-based non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the power of government and protecting the First Amendment from governmental assault. He told Daily Surge:
