To test their latest generation of engineering, host Scotty Reiss joined Michelin Senior Subjective Test Driver Derek Secord at the Michelin Proving Ground to evaluate the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 on the Ford Bronco Raptor.
Selected as original equipment for flagship performance vehicles like the Ford Bronco Raptor and Ford F-150 Raptor, the third-generation KO3 was engineered specifically for drivers who demand seamless transitions between highway commuting and extreme trail riding. As Secord explains, refining on-road acoustic comfort, steering response, and ride quality was just as critical as maximizing off-road traction, ensuring that drivers experience a refined, comfortable commute when traveling between off-road destinations.
Track evaluations demonstrated true multi-surface versatility. Beyond low-speed rock crawling and mud maneuvering, the KO3 proved capable during high-speed off-road driving, as well as real-world winter conditions like snow and slush. During pavement testing at speeds exceeding 50 mph, the Bronco Raptor delivered a smooth, comfortable ride with remarkably suppressed cabin noise—proving that premium all-terrain rubber no longer forces high-end truck owners to choose between daily driving refinement and off-road dominance.
