Dale Davenport ran a car wash in Dallas until politicians shut it down, blaming it for crime in the area.
Five years later, the car wash is still closed. The neighborhood has the highest violent crime rate in the city.

Davenport did everything city politicians asked him to. He put up lights, fences, and even hired a guard company.
But the city still shut him down.
Today, right across from the old car wash is a homeless camp.
Meanwhile, just a couple miles away, a new car wash is opening.
