Rooster Teeth is a 15 year-old production company that sits on the old Austin airport lot, which now houses sound stages, a set design and prop building, offices and gaming studios. The company introduced the world to the word ‘webseries’ when it launched the show “Red vs. Blue” in 2003. Cofounder and Chief Creative Officer Burnie Burns explains how Rooster Teeth is monetizing video in a way that has enabled the company to employ hundreds of people and has allowed them to vertically integrate and make their own props, set design, and costumes in-house.
