An increasing number of Americans believe special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is political biased.
A new Rasmussen poll reported Thursday found 46 percent of likely U.S. voters think Mueller’s investigation – which was prompted in part by an unverified “dossier” of Russian propaganda financed by Hillary Clinton’s campaign – is an honest attempt to determine criminal wrongdoing.
But that’s down from the 52 percent last October.
Rasmussen said that after Mueller’s invasion of the office and home of President Trump’s personal lawyer, voters increasingly believe the special counsel probe is politically biased.
The pollster also found Americans tend to think Mueller is unlikely “to nail the president for anything criminal.”
It reported 40 percent now consider Mueller’s investigation a “partisan witch hunt.”
That’s up 8 percent from a few months ago.
