Women in Iran attend first soccer match in 40 years

Under intense pressure from FIFA, the Iranian government allowed women to buy tickets to attend the country’s World Cup qualifying match against Cambodia.

Around 4,000 tickets were allocated to women for the match at Azadi Stadium. It was the first time since the 1979 Islamic Revolution that women could freely attend a men’s sporting event in Iran. RT America’s Steve Christakos joins Scottie Nell Hughes to discuss.
