The House Freedom Caucus has decided to go after the scalp of AG Sessions. Representative Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan, both Republicans, have written an editorial in the Washington Examiner. They want Jeff Sessions to step down.
The main complaint seems to be that the Russian collusion investigation has gone on too long and is out of control. They also point out that there has not been one shred of evidence produced to this date. The other part of the problem is that the FBI and the Department of Justice have been unresponsive to Congress’ requests for documents and interviews. It has been a great job of stonewalling.
