Welcome back, Richest fans! All the time, we hear about the wealthiest people in the world battling it out for the number one spot. But what about who’s the richest family? Well, that’s where we come in. We’ve scoured the Earth for those elite groups. These families are so rich that they actually earn more money than some countries! We’ve used the International Monetary Fund’s latest data on nations’ GDP to compare them to the families’ net worth. We’ll see the facts and features of these families as well as the nations they’ve beaten.
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. We kick-off with the Koch family who owe their fortune to the family business, Koch Industries. They’re involved with a lot of trades! We then have Bernard Arnault, the richest person in the world at the time of writing, and his family. The Arnaults actually own the brand of Louis Vuitton! We have the Mars Family who owe their fortune to the Mars bar. Well…that and the many other human food and animal services they specialise in. We then have the family of the secretive Spanish businessman Amancio Ortega. He’s the owner of the fashion brand Zara. We then have the richest family in the world, the Waltons. Their ancestor was responsible for creating the worldwide shop Walmart. Finally, we’ll briefly see some of the richest countries in the world, as well as the nation with the lowest GDP.
