Welcome back, Richest fans! In the next few years, the United States will have a new plane leading Air Force One. And it’s going to cost billions of dollars! Yet what about all of the other jets that have been carrying US Presidents for decades? Well, that’s what we’re going to examine today! We’ve selected some of the most noteworthy airplanes to be issued that elite task. We’ll examine the history and facts of the aircrafts to see just how they fared in service, as well as look at their massive costs.
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we start with the first plane to be specifically created for the President, the amazingly named Sacred Cow. Next, we have The Independence plane that was named after a President’s hometown. It has an eagle-pattern on the outside! There’s the Columbine II that was the first to be given the callsign of Air Force One after a near-accident. There’s the plane that John F. Kennedy ordered. It was also the place of another President being sworn in. We have the plane pilot that had to change the callsign whilst in flight when carrying Richard Nixon. Even Queen Elizabeth II had a trip on that iconic aircraft. We have the current plane that’s being used by Joe Biden. We’ll see how much money was spent on a new fridge during Donald Trump’s term. Then we have the details on the new airplane. Finally, we’ll briefly look at one of the most expensive planes owned by a world leader.
