Russia has handed over modern S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Syria. Thus, Moscow strengthened the air defense of the Arab Republic. The decision was taken after the tragedy involving the Russian IL-20 jet. In mid-September, it was mistakenly shot down by Syrian defense missiles that targeted the four Israeli fighter jets which had used the Russian plane as a cover. Syrian and Russian air defenses are slated to be integrated before November. RT’s Yulia Shapovalova reports.
