The 2017 Grammy Awards may go down in history as one of the most ridiculous mashups of politics and entertainment in a decade.
Between parading Michael Jackson’s daughter onstage to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline, and hip hop legends A Tribe Called Quest referring to Trump as “President Agent Orange”, the entire debacle felt massively pedantic and staged. Then, after all the shouting and parading about in liberal disguises came to an end, the music industry was then forced to crawl to the feet of the President to ask him for help.
