In the most simple of rebuttals, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas takes on the media’s claim that the Dream Act has the popular support of the nation. He points to the political reality that the Democrats know better and that is why they did not wage a fight for it over the budget.
President Trump’s arguments against the dream act were about the consequences of allowing all who are here to stay here and send for every relative that they have. That argument strikes a chord and the Democrats sense that. That is why that battle was not fought this year.
