School: Ga. Teacher Who Compared ‘MAGA’ Shirts to Swastikas Wrong

A Georgia high school teacher who compared “Make America Great Again” t-shirts to swastikas was wrong to order students to leave her classroom because of the logo, officials admitted Sunday.

The saga began last week when a teacher in the suburban Atlanta Cherokee School District was caught on video telling two students they had to leave her classroom and turn their shirts inside out to hide the logo used by President Donald Trump.

“Just like you cannot wear a swastika to school, you cannot use a slogan like that,” the teacher said.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Cherokee County Schools spokeswoman Barbara Jacoby said the teacher was wrong.

“Her actions were wrong, as the ‘Make America Great Again’ shirts worn by the students are not a violation of our School District dress code,” Jacoby said.
