A Cherokee County jury awarded $833,000 in damages recently to a Roswell man who was libeled by the nonprofit political organization Tea Party Patriots Inc., and its agent Lee Martin when Martin posted false claims under an alias on Facebook. Lyle filed the lawsuit in Cherokee County Superior Court in April 2013.
