The Republican National Committee’s fundraising arm hauled in $10.2 million in July compared to just $3.8 million for the Democratic National Committee, the Hill reported Saturday.
The DNC’s amount is the least since July 2007 when it brought in $3.4 million. The RNC has outraised its party counterpart since the start of this year, bringing in $86.5 million since January compared to $42 million for the DNC.
Top Democratic donors and fundraisers told The Hill they think DNC chairman Tom Perez can still turn things around.
“We all know that the last six months has been a complete rebuild of the party structure with Tom Perez and it seems like they are trying to be very methodical on how they rebuild. So it’s not surprising that their fundraising isn’t as aggressive or advanced right now,” one top Democratic fundraiser told The Hill.
But some are concerned.
“We really should be
