PHL officials under fire for anti-teen device

In an effort to prevent loitering and vandalism in public parks, city officials in Philadelphia, PA have turned to a device called the Mosquito. Strategically installed at 31 locations throughout the city, it blares a constant high-pitched tone between 10pm and 6am that only people under 25-years-old are able to hear. Critics of the Mosquito say that its deployment is “age discrimination” and the device is banned in the European Union, who deems its use to be “inhuman and degrading.” RT America’s Rachel Blevins reports for News.Views.Hughes.
