NRCC Launches Ad Campaign Slamming Dems on National Security

House Republicans on Monday reportedly launched a six-figure digital ad campaign aimed at seven Democrats, charging they threaten America’s national security, the National Republican Congressional Committee announced Monday.

The ads will target target freshman Reps. Tom O’Halleran of Arizona, Stephanie Murphy of Florida, Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey, as well as veterans like Collin Peterson of Minnesota and Pete DeFazio of Oregon, The Hill reported.

The ads are also aimed at Democratic Reps. Rick Nolan of Minnesota and Carol Shea-Porter of New Hampshire.

According to The Hill, the campaign is also running ads in three districts where lawmakers are leaving: Reps. Tim Walz, a Minnesota Democrat running for governor; retiring Florida Republican Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, whose district went heavily for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton; and Jackie Rosen of Nevada, a freshman Democrat running to unseat GOP Sen. Dean Heller.

“House Democrats’ refusal to hold hostile actors accountable is simply irresponsible,”
