In a tiny town called Hamilton, Missouri live the Dorn’s, a family who stumbled upon quilting as a hobby and managed to turn it into a small giant. YouTube star Jenny Dorn has been called “the Oprah of quilting,” and appropriately so. The family-run Missouri Star Quilting Company has over 500k subscribers on YouTube, and visitors bus in from hundreds of miles away just to shop at one of the company’s 12 quilting stores.
