Marines Make Landfall in Norway, Russia Not Happy


Given Barack Obama’s insistence at irking the Russian leadership on his way out the door, his latest military chess move comes as no surprise.

Marines have landed in Norway this week, leading the Russians to ramp up their Cold War rhetoric.

Obama, who has been working around the clock to muddy the international waters for Donald Trump on his way into the Oval Office, has recently moved U.S. Marines into Norway, a move that has garnered a particularly predictable response from the Russians.

“Some 300 U.S. Marines landed in Norway on Monday for a six-month deployment, the first time since World War Two that foreign troops have been allowed to be stationed there, in a deployment which has irked Norway’s Arctic neighbor Russia.
