John Hinckley Jr., the man who attempted to assassinate Ronald Reagan is now a free man, 35-years later. Apparently, the doctors at the mental hospital that Hinckley had been staying at have said that he no longer suffers from his mental illnesses. 35-years ago, when the crime was committed, Hinckley claimed he had tried to kill the president to impress actress Jodie Foster.

John Hinckley Jr. attempted to assassinate Ronald Reagan on March 30th, 1981 outside a Washington D.C. hotel. It is now 35-years later and the government is letting him out of a mental hospital. Judge Paul L. Friedman, today, granted Hinckley a full-time leave from the hospital, which will start on August 5th.
