Steve King, an Iowa congressman, has implied on Twitter that he believes Muslim children are holding back our civilization from being restored.
King tweeted: “Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies.”
His tweet is paired with a retweet with an anti-radical islamic message.
Within minutes, the tweet earned an endorsement from former Ku Klux Klan imperial wizard David Duke, who tweeted that “sanity reigns supreme in Iowa’s 4th congressional district” and added, “GOD BLESS STEVE KING!!!”
This is only the latest blatantly bigoted — and “civilization”-minded — remark from the Iowa lawmaker.
He set off anger last year by arguing that Western civilization was “rooted” in Christianity and no “other subgroup of people” had contributed as much to the world.
