HHS Secretary Tom Price Embraces GOP Heath Plan, “Nobody Will be Worse off Financially”

Earlier this week, House Republicans unveiled American Health Care Act. This is intended to replace Obamacare.

It replaces subsidies that low-income people can use to buy insurance with limited tax credits, and freezes the Medicaid expansion program over the next few years.

The Health and Human Services secretary, Tom Price, is embracing the new GOP healthcare plan.

Price stated, “I firmly believe that nobody will be worse off financially in the process that we’re going through,” he continued, “They’ll have choices that they can select the kind of coverage that they want for themselves and for their family, not the government forces them to buy.”

Financially, it will not be any worse than Obamacare. However, according to Price, it will cover more people.
