As much as it pains me to say, as a resident of Illinois, Dicky Durbin has been my Senator for 20 years. A senator is supposed to look out for their state. As such, I expect the person representing Illinois to represent our interests and prioritize accordingly. Dick Durbin never has quite understood that task, and now he is fully admitting it. Instead of looking at the myriad of problems plaguing Illinois, Durbin is focusing all of his attention on one single issue: the “Dreamers.”
