The United States gave its support to a plan to lift patent protection on jabs, which could make it easier for all nations to access Covid-19 vaccines. The move is opposed by some countries, including Germany.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote to the manufactures of COVID vaccines, asking them to step up their support fo the UN-sponsored COVAX programme which distributes doses to developing nations.
