The government is set to reveal a new 10-point plan on the climate and conservationists are hoping it includes better management and protection of peatland.
Discussions on how to manage it have always been controversial but climate minister, Zac Goldsmith, has expressed his support for a ban on peat burning used by gamekeepers.
