In a story straight out of an episode of The X Files, the CIA has released a plethora of documents demonstrating some of their more unusual experiments.
The CIA’s latest release of information reads more like a script from The X Files than an official government document.
While long-considered possibly true, the idea that the CIA was engaging in mind control experiments and diligently researching the UFO phenomenon was never officially confirmed by the agency. Now, with a treasure trove of documents being released this week, we finally know for sure just how many Fox Mulders there are in the agency.
“A newly released cache of CIA documents reveals UFO sightings and psychic experiments from the ‘Stargate programme’, which has long been of interest to conspiracy theorists.
“The project was the codename for a secret U.S. Army unit established in 1978 at Fort Meade, Maryland, by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).
