Changes In WTA Ranking Rules After Serena Controversy

The Women’s Tennis Association changed its rule book adding a special rankings rule for athletes to freeze their ranking for a period of time in the event of pregnancy or injury. The WTA also modified the dress code rules allowing women to wear compression shorts or leggings without a skirt or shorts over them. In surfing, The final event of the World Surf League season saw world number one Gabriel Medina edge out Australian’s Julian Wilson to take the Pipe Masters crown. Kelly Slater tied for third place but stole the show with a miraculous ‘Houdini’ tube ride.
