The socialists have taken over the California Democrat Party and 60 percent of the votes at their convention walked away from Senator Diane Feinstein, declining to give her the party endorsement.
In a sharp rebuke, the California Democratic Party has declined to endorse the Feinstein in her bid for reelection.
Her opponent, state Sen. Kevin de León, received 54 percent of delegates’ votes to just 37 percent for Feinstein. It takes 60 percent to receive an endorsement.
Neither candidate reached the 60 percent threshold required to receive the party endorsement for 2018. But the snubbing of Feinstein led de León to claim a victory for his struggling campaign.
In fact, before Feinstein could even finish her speech at the Democrat convention Saturday, they began playing th to indicate she had used her allotted time.
