President Trump filed 2020 campaign papers on inauguration day, but today he declared officially he is running and even named Brad Parscale as his campaign manager.
The bold move by President Trump comes 980 days before Election Day 2020, a historical record. Obama announced 582 days before the end of his first term.
Parscale, a pioneer in the San Antonio tech scene who worked with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016 will run the president’s full campaign in 2020.
“Brad is an amazing talent and was pivotal to our success in 2016. He has our family’s complete trust. He is the perfect person to be at the helm of the campaign,” Eric Trump, the president’s son, said in a statement.
The move to openly declare his re-election campaign is sure to stir up the political world.
