Legendary American evangelist Billy Graham has passed away at the age of 99.
In a tribute posted to his official website, his death on February 21, 2018 early this morning at his home is marked with a passage from the Revelation 4:13:
“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord…that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
William Franklin Graham Jr. was born in 1918 near Charlotte, North Carolina and became an ordained Southern Baptist minister and Christian evangelist, and was a spiritual adviser to every President from Harry Truman all the way to Barack Obama before retiring in 2005 due to health issues. He would make rare appearances from then on due to his failing health from having been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1992.
