Welcome back, Richest fans! Rags to riches. It’s a cornerstone of the American Dream. To arrive with nothing, then work yourself up the ladder until you’re a leader in the industry. However, for many, that dream can be unobtainable. Yet for a select group of billionaires, they grew up poor and now each of them has a massive net worth. Today, we’re going to examine some of those success stories. We’ll explore the history of their family lives and facts on how they got to where they are today.

Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we’ll examine the person that turned Starbucks coffee into a household name, Howard Schultz. He travelled to Italy and was inspired by their process. So, he wanted to replicate it in the States. We then have the tragic but inspiring upbringing of Oprah Winfrey. From her childhood, to becoming the biggest talk show host of all time, to now working with Apple TV. We then have Shahid Khan who moved to the US with little cash in his pocket. Now, he owns a number of sports teams such as the Jacksonville Jaguars. We have the intense story of George Soros when he lived in Hungary during the 1940’s. After that, he created the Quantum Fund and donated billions to good causes. There’s Roman Abramovich who was orphaned yet his business acumen allowed him to buy Chelsea FC. Finally, we’ll briefly look at the billionaire who lost it all, Barbara Hutton.
